The name Pearl Works draws inspiration from a historic Sheffield factory that once crafted cutlery with pearl handles. For us, the pearl symbolises resilience, transformation, and the emergence of beauty from adversity. It reflects our storytelling ethos: uncovering the powerful, often hidden stories within individuals and communities

We are a global creative media production company founded by Angela Robson, award-winning journalist, artist and filmmaker. Angela has reported from over fifty countries, investigating, filming and producing media content from some of the world’s most challenging environments, for media outlets including the BBC, the Guardian, Al Jazeera, Le Monde diplomatique, and for a number of NGOs.
